I was inspired by one of my favourite films Goodfellas to recreate the iconic “Funny how?” scene, but with a pepperoni pizza twist. Even as a slice of pizza Joe Pesci’s death stare still intimidates me.

I wanted to replicate Tommy’s fine mafia suit, especially that long pointy shirt collar!
TOMMY CHARACTER RIG
I designed the characters and scene in Photoshop. Then used Duik Bassel to build the character rigs and Joysticks 'N Sliders for the face turn. The scene was animated in After Effects and edited in Premiere Pro.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Pizzas

As a kid I was obsessed with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I watched the cartoon religiously while wearing an orange Michelangelo eye mask. And even nagged Mum to buy the green sausages at the supermarket, an odd commercial tie-in to TMNT at the time. Mum wisely refused.
So I had a whole heap of nostalgic fun turning these butt-kicking turtles into cheesy heroes.
